Kids & Teens Jiu Jitsu

Children and teens of all skill levels and abilities will benefit from Jiu-Jitsu classes at Gracie Barra in Port Coqutilam. Our Gracie Barra Kids Program is designed to teach children self-discipline as well as providing a unique way to express themselves. Our instructors are trained to interact and offer gentle correction for children and teens who practice the art of Jiu-Jitsu. Children over the age of three can begin their training at any of our 700 Gracie Barra Schools, experiencing the true power of brotherhood and integrity.

Our Future Champions Program is typically subdivided into three different groups to accommodate students of different ages and skill levels:

Little Champions I (3-6 years old),
Little Champions II (7-9 Years Old),
Juniors & Teens (10-14 years old)

Women's Jiu Jitsu & Self Defense

Designed to meet the specific learning needs of women who want to start Jiu-Jitsu. As such, it builds on the structure of the GB Fundamental program but incorporates several adaptations and specific techniques designed to develop women physically, mentally, and technically to be prepared to join the GB1 Fundamental class after 8-weeks of training at GBF. Ultimately, GBF creates the opportunity for women to create a strong community within the school so they can support each other while training in a safe environment that honours their unique woman strengths and needs.

BJJ is a perfect fit for women who are interested in learning how to protect themselves because it combines a comprehensive self-defense curriculum with emphasis on drills that simulate realistic attack-and-escape situations.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

Our program has been designed to provide children with the tools and skills they need to overcome daily obstacles. Whether this involves bullying, peer pressure, lack of focus, or low self-esteem – the Gracie Barra After School Martial Arts Program focuses on self-improvement through the principles of Jiu-Jitsu. Students are picked up daily after school and transported to our facility where they will commencing their age-specific Jiu-Jitsu activities. This program is available for children between the ages of 5 to 12.

Port Coquitlam Students are picked up daily from school and transported to our facility where they eat parent provided snacks before  practicing their Brazilian Jiu Jitsu activities.
